POHAR Education Aid aims to ensure better education and personality development of the socially and economically backward students in the rural villages of Assam. Target group: Students of the schools functioning under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Guwahati Under the POHAR Aid, the educational expenses of the selected students from the elementary level to secondary level will be met by providing study materials and school fees. It is expected that it will aid to reduce school dropouts of the students from the most economically backward families. Eligibility 1. Applicants must belong to BPL families 2. Applicants must study in the schools supported by the Archdiocese of Guwahati 3. Applicants must get minimum 60% of mark Operational Structure 1. Collection of funds from interested sponsors (individuals, agencies at national and international level) to the designated bank account. 2. Reeving application and selection of students by GGSS POHAR Project Operational Committee 3. Distribution of funds to selected students 4. Regular monitoring
